Every pack can tell you where it came from

“Farm-direct” is easy to print on a bag. The test is whether the bag can name the farm. Each Farmikoo pack carries a batch code that ties it back to a grower, a harvest and a milling date.

  1. Farm

Grower, village and district. We buy directly, so there is a name at this end rather than a mandi lot number.

  2. Harvest

When the crop came off the field, and the variety it was grown from.

  3. Mill

The date it was ground and the batch size. This is the number that matters for freshness.

  4. Pack

When it was packed and dispatched, so you can see how long it spent waiting.

Look up a batch

The code is printed near the packed-on date, and looks like FK-2608-A1.
